Gurshan Dhillon was the key to WolfPack's victory connecting in the air for five touchdowns.

WolfPack triumphed over Hornets 39 to 13 at Ellerslie Rugby Park on Sunday. Neither team managed to put points on the board in the first quarter. The second quarter was also scoreless. Both offenses remained unproductive against the superb defenses the 3rd quarter as well. In the final quarter, the ice was finally broken when WolfPack scored 39 points to Hornets's 13 and took the lead to claim the late win.

The WolfPack defense contributed to the victory, and kept the pressure up with five sacks. They picked off Hornets twice.

Hornets suffered their first loss and ended the game with a record of 1 win and 1 loss.
