Jeremy Meeds was the key to Eagles's victory throwing 6 touchdowns.

Winning by a large margin, Eagles beat 9ers 48 to 6 at Ellerslie Rugby Park on Tuesday. Neither team managed to put points on the board in the first quarter. Both defenses held strong to shut down scoring in the second quarter. Both offenses remained unproductive against the superb defenses the 3rd quarter as well. In the last quarter, the offenses finally got going when Eagles outscored 9ers 48 to 6 and took the lead to claim the late win.

The Eagles defense contributed to the victory, and kept the pressure up with four sacks. They picked off 9ers twice.

Eagles ended their streak of 2 losing games and ended the game with a record of 2-3. 9ers finished the game with a record of 1-3.
